SQL Saturday #131 Phoenix Recap

This past weekend I attended and presented at the 131st SQL Saturday in Phoenix, AZ. I got a chance to do 3 sessions, one of them an experimental session where I debated Jeff Renz on the merits of data warehouse architecture. He took the Data Vault side and I argued for Dimensional Modeling. The session came off well, better than thought it might since it’s the first time Jeff and I tried this.

Amy Lewis and the rest of the volunteers did a really good job organizing the event. It was held at Chandler-Gilbert Community College which turned out to be a perfect venue for this type of event.
